Hiking -- Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve
Dear Tsinghua alumni and friends,
Autumn is here. Let's take a trip to enjoy the beauty of nature. The SDTHAA is organizing a hiking trip. It will also be a good opportunity to meet up old and new friends.
TIME: 1:00pm, Nov. 8th, 2008.
PLACE: Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve.
DIRECTIONS: We will gather at the east entrance:
12020 Black Mountain Rd. San Diego, CA 92129
If you go north on Black Mountain Rd., make a left turn at the crossing of Mercy Rd. and Black Mountain Rd.. Pay the parking fee at the gate, $3.00 per vehicle. To save gas and parking space, carpool is highly recommended.
TRAILS: Here is the map of the preserve.
We will start from the parking lot, follow the penasquitos creek, and reach the water fall, then back to the parking lot.
The total hike is about 6 mile long. The trail difficulty is low. The trip takes about 3 hours.
NECESSITIES: Good grip trail shoes or boots, plenty of water and snacks, hat and sunscreen.
